WEVER LABS / AGENT CHECKOUT

Who gets to act
at checkout?

A merchant needs to know what an agent is allowed to do, who authorized it, and what can be verified afterward.

THE CHECKOUT FIGHT

Access needs
authorization.

Retailers are deciding which agents may act at checkout. eBay's user agreement restricts automated shopping agents and order flows without human review unless eBay gives prior express permission. Other retailers are opening approved paths: Walmart and Google describe a path from AI product discovery to purchase.

Payment networks are building authorization into those paths. Visa describes agent-bound payment credentials and authenticated user instructions. Mastercard's Verifiable Intent connects what a consumer authorized to a record of agent actions.

The open question is which agents get to act, within which limits, and what evidence a merchant can verify. Wever provides separate tools for that authorization and evidence layer.

EXISTING TOOLS. EXPLICIT PERMISSIONS.

The merchant-safe stack

Verify authority. Constrain release.
Keep the record. Settle the payment.

01 / AUTHORIZATION

Check the mandate.

wever_ap2-mandate-gateway

Verify the trusted-issuer allowlist, holder-wallet binding, nonce and expiry. Durable single-use checks reject replayed mandates and checkouts; successful verification returns a signed receipt.

This bounded AP2 profile verifies authority evidence. It does not execute a purchase, move purchase funds or claim full AP2 conformance.

02 / CONDITIONAL PAYMENT

Release only as authorized.

wever_agent-escrow-lite

Escrow-lite auto-signs release-to-payee only on a valid signed release mandate that satisfies the escrow policy. On expiry, it refunds to the payer. The payee and payer are fixed by the original terms.

The escrow release mandate is a separate signature flow; an AP2 verification receipt alone cannot release funds. This is managed custody, with chain-confirmed settlement and recovery, with funding admission limits of 25 USDC per escrow and 200 USDC aggregate custody capacity.

03 / AUDITABLE TRAIL

Keep evidence attached to the work.

wever_receipt-passport

Signed receipts for supported retained Wever work, with verification.

wever_proof-inbox

A wallet-scoped record of submitted proof. Arbitrary evidence remains labeled unverified.

wever_agent-trust-scorecard

A view of selected evidence and its gaps, not a global reputation guarantee.

wever_agent-to-agent-handoff-pack

A signed handoff package. The recipient still enforces actual permissions.

An audit trail records what was checked. It does not prove the truth of arbitrary claims, fulfillment or consent beyond that checked scope.

04 / SETTLEMENT

Pay through x402.

Paid API access settles in native USDC on Base mainnet through x402. The payment challenge carries the applicable terms. Paying for access does not grant an agent permission to buy something or release escrow.

FOR AGENTS AND THEIR OPERATORS

Connect to
the existing rails.

Use the main MCP endpoint or the direct APIs in the summary. These tools require their own supported schemas and credentials; this page does not create a bundled retail checkout.

MCP ENDPOINT
https://weverlabs.com/mcp
TOOL ACCESS
0.10 USDC / call

Gateway verification, escrow operations and each trust tool. Subject to the shared allowance of 10 signed-wallet free calls per rolling 30 days.

MANDATE ISSUANCE
2.00 USDC / issued mandate

Through wever_delegated-authority, subject to the same allowance. Issuance is distinct from the gateway's 0.10 USDC verification call, with its own credential and policy requirements.

SEPARATE PRINCIPAL
Escrow funds are separate from API fees and never covered by the free allowance. A valid payment signature selects paid access even when free calls remain.

HONEST LIMITS

Trust is the bottleneck.

53%

Consumer trust is the real bottleneck. A YouGov survey commissioned by ACI Worldwide found 53% of US and UK respondents uncomfortable with AI making purchases on their behalf.

June 2026 fieldwork; 3,328 adults aged 18 to 65. The study focused on fashion and sportswear shopping.

Infrastructure for authorized checkout.

We are not integrated with or endorsed by Walmart, eBay, Visa or Mastercard. Their work explains the market question; it is not a claim of partnership.

Evidence within its scope.

Supported interfaces, configured issuers and retained sources define what can be checked. We do not claim universal agent access or an end-to-end retail purchase integration. Refund and settlement timing depends on chain and provider availability.

Usage with attribution.

We make no adoption or revenue claims beyond what the public usage page shows. Company-authored traffic is labeled as such. Synthetic acceptance runs remain tests, not outside customers or revenue.
