Use Node.js 22.13 or later. This command installs pinned dependencies, downloads the example script and runs its default, challenge-only mode. No wallet key is needed. It inspects terms without signing or paying.

Explicitly authorize a payment when funded.

Review the downloaded source. In the same directory, use your editor to create a private local .env file containing WEVER_PRIVATE_KEY=0x..., replacing 0x... with your wallet's private key. Keep this file private and out of source control. Never paste your key into this website or a chat. Then run:

Funded payment not verified in this release. This mode checks the wallet's balance before signing. With sufficient funds, it authorizes exactly 0.10 USDC, saves the signed payment locally and submits the paid call.

Recorded verification

Fresh paid settlement is pending. The live free call and x402 challenge were verified. The same payment script checked the available wallet, found 0.018 USDC against the required 0.10 USDC, and stopped before signing. No payment authorization was created and no funds moved.

Keep the checkpoint for a safe retry.

Before submitting payment, the script saves the exact request and authorization to .wever-first-paid-call.json. Keep that file private. If the result is uncertain or the server reports pending payment, reuse this checkpoint:

The retry command reuses the saved authorization without creating another. Recovery was tested locally with isolated fixtures; a live paid replay remains unverified in this release.

What about my ten free calls?

Paid endpoints share ten free calls per wallet per rolling 30 days, authenticated with X-Wever-Wallet-Proof. This example deliberately follows the paid path, omits that proof and leaves the shared allowance untouched. A valid paid authorization can spend USDC even when free calls remain.

The resource matters.

Send both MCP requests to /mcp. Sign the actual backend resource returned in the challenge, /api/mcp-diligence-rail. The MCP adapter forwards your payment credentials.

Keep the same payment for recovery.

If a request reports a pending payment or an uncertain result, retain the exact request and signed payment. Follow the server's retry guidance. Generating a new payment authorization can cause another charge.

One example has a defined scope.

/mcp declares 47 tools. Each tool has its own contract and authority requirements. Payment grants access to the billed call and does not grant authority for other actions.

What these runs establish

Recorded output comes from production requests using synthetic example input. It is operating-interface evidence, not outside customer adoption or revenue.
Fresh funded payment, on-chain settlement and paid replay are not verified by this release. Publication proceeds with paid verification pending.
The script runs in challenge-only mode unless you explicitly pass --pay. The signing and recovery paths have local automated coverage; local fixtures are not live settlement evidence.
The example costs 0.10 USDC. Other tool prices and authority requirements can differ; inspect their actual challenge and contract.
The supplied declaration review is a bounded computation, also available free as review_mcp_manifest on /mcp-free. This example deliberately demonstrates the paid entrance.
